Sun. Soul. Soil | Diasporic Blackness and Justice in Global Museums

8.05.2020 – 8.8.2020 | Miami, Florida

The Association of African American Museums is excited to announce plans for its 42nd Annual Conference, August 5-8, 2020 in Miami, Florida.

AAAM’s 2020 conference is graciously hosted by the Black Archives History and Research Foundation of South Florida, Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Miami AAAM local conference host committee. All conference sessions will be held in downtown Miami at the JW MARRIOTT MARQUIS
(255 Biscayne Blvd. Way | Miami, FL 33131).

The annual conference will bring together over 500 museums throughout the U.S., Canada, Senegal, and the Caribbean to explore concepts of identity, advocacy, and justice in museums around the world, all of whom will benefit from insights shared by Mr. Smith and his commitment to increasing the integration of digital technology within communities of color and to close the digital divide.
