• AAAM2026 Minor Attendance Policy & Disclosure
  The Association of African American Museums (AAAM) welcomes families to participate in the
  AAAM2026 Annual Conference. However, parents and legal guardians should carefully
  consider whether conference programming is appropriate for minors.
  The AAAM Annual Conference is designed primarily for a professional audience of museum
  practitioners, scholars, educators, college-aged students, cultural heritage professionals, and
  community leaders. AAAM cannot guarantee that the content, discussions, language,
  audiovisual presentations, films, exhibits, workshops, plenaries, tours, or other
  conference programming is appropriate for minors. Conference content is developed
  independently by presenters and reflects a broad range of scholarly, historical, cultural, and
  contemporary topics that may include mature subject matter.
